Window Tint: Corvette Stingray

Tired of having the sun beat down on your arm, face, legs? Come in and have your vehicle tinted. Not only will it decrease the glare from the crazy sun we have in Arizona, but it will protect your interior from fading and degrading since all our films block 99% of UV (ultraviolet) rays! Aside from the comfort and protection factor, we all know it adds an aesthetic appearance as well! This corvette show car came in for tint for those exact reasons! It also received a layer of Ceramic Pro. Not familiar with coatings? Think of them as a replacement for wax, only you don't have to apply it every time you wash, or even every few months! A coating protects against UV, and also adds amazing hydrophobic properties to the surface which its applied; this makes your vehicle super easy to clean, whether its painted or vinyl wrapped! 2011 Mercedes S63 brought back to life

IMG_0187.JPG

This 2011 S63 had the usual scratches from improper care and neglect. The owner had his S550 done prior to upgrading to the S63 AMG, so he knew the potential the original black paint had! Below you will see a picture before paint correction took place.

We performed our stage 2 paint correction. The results were staggering! While deep scratches that would require additional steps or color sanding to remove, we ruled that overall, about 80% of the defects were removed! Here is an after shot of the trunk.

For all things detailing, give us a call, shoot us a text, email or stop by. We'd love to show you just how far we can transform your vehicle

The difference in a Proper Interior Detail

A proper interior detail is necessary if you're looking for a disinfected or sanitized vehicle interior.  We achieve this through using various methods, one of which is the use of steam. Unlike conventional methods like "shampoo" which most detailing companies like to use, we use steam. The difference between using shampoo and steam is that  shampoo injects a lot of water and moisture deep into your vehicle's carpet and seat padding. This exposes the risk of your vehicle developing mold or bacteria if the moisture is not extracted properly. The method of shampooing also stirs the dirt/debris in carpets and does not always remove the particles from the surface, but rather imbedds them.

After: Majority of Stains removed using steam to lift dirt from surface, leaving mat virtually dry to the touch after minutes of cleaning

Steam, on the contrary, kills bacteria due to high temperatures while lifting dirt and stains by the use of heat transfer onto a towel/cloth.

The Verdict?

Both steam and shampooing are methods to clean interiors. Shampoo runs the risk of excess moisture in your vehicle which can cause mold/mildew and odor development. This method also does not disinfect the surfaces like steam does. Steaming leaves the interior much more dry, lifts dirt and leaves a fresh neutral scent throughout the vehicle.

Until next time, happy detailing!

Porsche GT3 in for extensive Detail, PPF, Paint Correction, Paint Protection by Ceramic Pro

It is always fascinating to see the transformation on a vehicle that is an icon. This 2010 Porsche GT3 received our Signature Paint Correction. This is the process in which we perform multiple stages of compounding and polishing to reflow and remove imperfections in the clear-coat to yield as close to an imperfection-free finish as possible. For more information on paint correction, click here.

We also performed a wheel-off detail where we removed the wheels, steam cleaned the suspension and brake system, as well as the wheels and wheel barrels. Upon completion of the deep cleanse, we protected the wheels and calipers with Ceramic Pro, a durable coating that repels brake dust and prevents corrosion, as well as aids in easy-cleaning. This is also available for your vehicle's paint which we also applied to this beautiful Porsche. For more info on our paint coating packages, click here.

Once paint corrected, we wrapped the entire exterior in XPEL Ultimate Self-Healing Film. This will provide a sacrificial barrier over the paint from any environmental variables. Custom plotted and fitted special for this vehicle, side markers, tail and headlights, as well as the inner linings of the fender wells were removed to ensure as seamless and clean of an install as possible. Included is a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing and any film defects! Visit our paint protection film page for more information on XPEL and Suntek film solutions that we offer. Click here.

Once the film installation was complete, we provided 2 layers of Ceramic Pro on top of the film. We offer this as an option so that your paint protection film has a UV protective, hydrophobic (water-fearing, or in other words, LOTS of water beads that aid in self-cleaning!) surface that allows clear bra/PPF to behave and act more like paint. No more static-cling! Dust, tar and bugs wash off with much more ease than without a coating. We also protected the leather and carpets with Ceramic Pro. It's important to protect your vehicle's interior as UV rays can damage and fade your leather and plastics.

Overall, the end result of this GT3 was simply stunning. Near total perfection (nothing in this world is perfect), we've never seen a race car look so dang pretty!

Happy Detailing!
