Million dollar detail McLaren P1: 1 of 1 in Solstice Black Scottsdale!

There are super cars, then there are hyper cars. The Mclaren P1 is a stunning piece of technology, the P1 generates its 903 HP by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine coupled to an electric motor and it can go from 0-60mph in a mere 2.9 seconds. Equipped with carbon silica brakes (thats space-grade brakes people), rest assured this puppy will stop on the dime!

We had the opportunity to perform a new car prep on the only Solstice Black Mclaren P1 produced here in Scottsdale, before it was shipped out to Beverly Hills to the owner. Our stage 1 paint correction removed about 85%-95% of the surface defects that were present, all while enhancing the shine and depth of the beautiful finish ten fold.

Air Force One Detail Team 2015

July 13-18, 2015 marked the third time we have been selected and been a part of the Air Force One Detail Team. We had the extraordinary opportunity to not only detail SAM970, the first jetplane Air Force One, but serial #003 Boeing 787 Dreamliner, F-14 Tomcat, A6 Intruder, FIAT fighter jet, Harrier, and the last remaining DC2 in the world in flying condition. 

The goal during this entire project was to slightly restore, but mostly preserve these aircraft. Our team polished the paint and finessed the 60 year old aluminum on Air Force One, followed by applying an advanced paint sealant to preserve the finish until next year where it will be placed under a pavilion being built by the Museum of Flight.

Project Air Force One 2015

This year marks our third opportunity to be a part of the Air Force One Detail Team. We, along with others in our group, Detail Mafia were chosen by Renny Doyle of Detailing Success to be a part of this epic and amazing project. We embark on this journey on our own dime, our own time, to preserve a priceless piece of aviation and American history. This is SAM970, the original Air Force one.

Being part of the Presidential fleet from Presidents Eisenhower through Bill Clinton, this jet has also flown Presidents Jimmy Carter and JFK.
