Porsche GT3 in for extensive Detail, PPF, Paint Correction, Paint Protection by Ceramic Pro

It is always fascinating to see the transformation on a vehicle that is an icon. This 2010 Porsche GT3 received our Signature Paint Correction. This is the process in which we perform multiple stages of compounding and polishing to reflow and remove imperfections in the clear-coat to yield as close to an imperfection-free finish as possible. We also performed a wheel-off detail where we removed the wheels, steam cleaned the suspension and brake system, as well as the wheels and wheel barrels. Upon completion of the deep cleanse, we protected the wheels and calipers with Ceramic Pro, a durable coating that repels brake dust and prevents corrosion, as well as aids in easy-cleaning. Once paint corrected, we wrapped the entire exterior in XPEL Ultimate Self-Healing Film. This will provide a sacrificial barrier over the paint from any environmental variables. Custom plotted and fitted special for this vehicle, side markers, tail and headlights, as well as the inner linings of the fender wells were removed to ensure as seamless and clean of an install as possible. Once the film installation was complete, we provided 2 layers of Ceramic Pro on top of the film. We offer this as an option so that your paint protection film has a UV protective, hydrophobic (water-fearing, or in other words, LOTS of water beads that aid in self-cleaning!) surface that allows clear bra/PPF to behave and act more like paint. No more static-cling! Dust, tar and bugs wash off with much more ease than without a coating. We also protected the leather and carpets with Ceramic Pro. It's important to protect your vehicle's interior as UV rays can damage and fade your leather and plastics.

Overall, the end result of this GT3 was simply stunning. Near total perfection (nothing in this world is perfect), we've never seen a race car look so dang pretty!

The 2016 Corvette Z06 Makeover Detail

This Corvette Z06 came to us as any other "ordinary" (if you'd call it that) Laguna blue vette, and left as a one-of-a-kind masterpiece designed by our client with a little influence from our artistic eye.

Receiving our stage 2 paint correction to remove any imperfections in the finish from the factory, the result was simply stunning. Surprisingly, compared to other vehicles in the industry the corvette C7/Stingray/Z06 come from the factory with very few blemishes in comparison with high-end brands such as Ferrari, Mclaren, and even Tesla.  

Next, a post-operative rinse to ensure compound and polish dust is rid from the surface. After blowing dry with our filtered, heated blower, we proceeded to begin the XPEL Ultimate paint protection film install on the full nose which includes hood, bumper, front fenders and mirrors.

Next, the orange vinyl accents along the exterior carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts, louvers and hood were applied. We color-matched as close as possible to the factory carbon flash hood scoop to vinyl wrap the hood along one of the body lines with 3M gloss black metallic. The front emblem was also removed & reinstalled to ensure the cleanest aesthetic look.

The windows were also tinted in Suntek HP 5%. This alone completely changed the look and aggression-factor of this beauty!

Post-install of window-tint, vinyl, and clear bra, we gave it yet another wash to remove any dust or smudges from the surface to give the car a final prep prior to applying Ceramic Pro.

2012 Ferrari California protected with XPEL Ultimate Film and Ceramic Pro

Our client came to us and expressed his fastidiousness towards his car collection. Right off the bat we knew he was a car guy; we thought, 'who better to detail your vehicle than fastidious car guys like ourselves, right?'

The car receiving the love? A beautiful 2012 Ferrari California in Bianco Avus (White). There were a few areas where there was paint protection film applied, namely on the rear portion rocker panels near the air ducts, and along the trailing edges of each fender to aid against rock chips. Tarnished and yellowed from age, we removed them using heat. Any residue left behind was cleaned off using adhesive remover.

Once all the old film was removed, we proceeded to perform our signature paint correction. This process involves multiple stages of compounding and polishing to remove scratches by re-leveling the clear-coat. Much of the grime and scuffs that occurred from daily driving were removed using spot sanding and polishing in the rocker panels.

XPEL Ultimate Self Healing Film was installed on the entire front nose of the vehicle, including the hood, front bumper, headlights, front fenders and mirrors. Also protected were the rocker panels and rear boot lid where the convertible hard top rests against when in the closed position. XPEL was also custom-cut and fit for the entire rear bumper. Unlike many companies and dealerships, we custom plot our film to tuck and roll edgesto have as seamless of an install possible. This way dirt and other variables have less chance of creating that 'dirt line' we all have seen form on PPF seams overtime. Upon installation of XPEL, the entire exterior was protected with Ceramic Pro. The painted areas received 9H and Light, and the film-covered areas were protected with two layers of Light. Having paint protection film coated with Ceramic Pro takes away the tacky-feeling that film possesses, providing the film with more paint-like properties. This aids tremendously when cleaning up the vehicle. Bugs, tar, bird droppings wash off with ease.

At last, once the client came to take delivery of his now-mint Ferrari California, he didn't want to drive it! Corrected and protected, this 4 year old Ferrari looks better than the day it rolled off the show-room floor.
