First Ferrari 488 GTB Detailed on the East Coast!

We had the extraordinary opportunity to be a part of detailing the first Ferrari 488 GTB delivered on the east coast. We performed a multi-stage paint correction alongside our friends over at Distinct Detailing in Flemington, New Jersey.

Removing all imperfections prior to the Ceramic Pro Silver package application, this pony was jeweled to a smooth, glass-like finish and topped with Ceramic Pro 9H and Light for up to 5 years of durable protection. It will no longer need to be waxed or require any sort of protection.

Ceramic Coatings are an artificial clear coat that forms a molecular bond to your vehicle's finish, adding a sacrificial barrier that is a harder, more durable layer that adds scratch resistant and anti-graffiti properties against ink, tar, bugs and road paint. In addition to its anti-stick and anti-static properties, ceramic coatings will also allow your vehicle to clean up much easier!

Our paint correction process removes imperfections such as: water spots, scratches, sand-marks and holograms that were not properly removed from the factory, as well as environmental fallout.

2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale Signature Paint Correction High-End Detail

The Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale derives directly from the Ferrari 360 Modena with one thing in mind; the track. Ferrari gave the CS a hefty weight reduction of 110kg by removing anything that wasn't needed for functionality. With upgraded brakes, F1 gearbox and tweaked aerodynamics to increase down-force by 50%, is it any wonder these automobiles are not just beautiful, but a well sought-after, rare Italian machine. Our job was simple: bring the paint back to as close-to-new condition as possible. With 4 stages of paint correction, up to 90+% of all surface scratches were removed. The paint did contain a defect known as solvent-pop. This is the condition in which solvents from the preparation in the factory evaporate through the finished paint and cause tiny little pore impressions to form in the finish. This is common on older vehicles, especially early 2000 Porsches.

Post paint-correction, we rinsed the Stradale to rid the surface and nooks of any compounding or polishing dust that made its way into the can't-reach areas including jambs and engine compartment. After blowing-dry to minimize risk of scratching, we applied our 3 month sealant to enhance the gloss and color of the elegant Blu Tour de France, and really make the metallic flake pop!

Our client came to us and expressed his fastidiousness towards his car collection. Right off the bat we knew he was a car guy; we thought, 'who better to detail your vehicle than fastidious car guys like ourselves, right?'

The car receiving the love? A beautiful 2012 Ferrari California in Bianco Avus (White). There were a few areas where there was paint protection film applied, namely on the rear portion rocker panels near the air ducts, and along the trailing edges of each fender to aid against rock chips. Tarnished and yellowed from age, we removed them using heat. Any residue left behind was cleaned off using adhesive remover.

Once all the old film was removed, we proceeded to perform our signature paint correction. This process involves multiple stages of compounding and polishing to remove scratches by re-leveling the clear-coat. Much of the grime and scuffs that occurred from daily driving were removed using spot sanding and polishing in the rocker panels.

XPEL Ultimate Self Healing Film was installed on the entire front nose of the vehicle, including the hood, front bumper, headlights, front fenders and mirrors. Also protected were the rocker panels and rear boot lid where the convertible hard top rests against when in the closed position. XPEL was also custom-cut and fit for the entire rear bumper. Unlike many companies and dealerships, we custom plot our film to tuck and roll edgesto have as seamless of an install possible. This way dirt and other variables have less chance of creating that 'dirt line' we all have seen form on PPF seams overtime. Paint protection film is the ultimate form of protection against rock chips and other variables your vehicle is exposed to on a daily basis that can damage its finish. Upon installation of XPEL, the entire exterior was protected with Ceramic Pro. The painted areas received 9H and Light, and the film-covered areas were protected with two layers of Light. Having paint protection film coated with Ceramic Pro takes away the tacky-feeling that film possesses, providing the film with more paint-like properties. This aids tremendously when cleaning up the vehicle. Bugs, tar, bird droppings wash off with ease.

At last, once the client came to take delivery of his now-mint Ferrari California, he didn't want to drive it! Corrected and protected, this 4 year old Ferrari looks better than the day it rolled off the show-room floor.
