Lamborghini Superleggera Paint Correction, Ceramic Pro, Paint Protection Film

The 2008 Lamborghini Superleggera is basically a Gallardo, on steroids. How? It's 126 pounds lighter. This is thanks to the many beautiful carbon fiber pieces throughout the $250,000.00 lambo. Mirrors, door panels, rear bonnet, rear spoiler (just to name a few) are finished in a beautiful clear coated carbon fiber that add a level of elegance and prestige that we were surprised made all the difference when comparing to the standard Gallardo.

Finished in a beautiful alcantara interior with matching orange stitching to the paint color, Lamborghini creates yet another masterpiece with their attention to detail.

With 523HP and 376ft/lbs of torque, the mid engine V10 will turn your head just by the sheer sound of it, let alone if you see it coming first.

This detail has quite the laundry list. This is what we performed:

Claybar of all surfaces to remove surface contaminants to ensure proper compounding & polishing, and also to promote proper adhesion of protection to be applied.

Stage 2 paint correction which in this case yielded around 85-90% perfection.

Stage 2 compounding and polishing of both driver and passenger carbon fiber door panels, followed by application of a synthetic sealant

Underside of carbon fiber bonnet compounded and polished

Taillights compounded and polished

Rear carbon fiber spoiler removed, compounded and polished underneath

Rear carbon fiber diffuser compounded and polished.

8 year old Paint Protection Film removed from nose

Paint compounded and polished underneath film

Installation of Suntek self-healing film on full nose, headlights and carbon fiber side mirrors

Ceramic Pro Sport applied to all painted and carbon fiber exterior surfaces

Interior wipe-down

Optima Steam-cleaned engine detail.

The results were impeccable. A brighter, more brilliant orange made for a delight once we pulled it into the sun for photos. Don't miss the video at the top of this write-up! For more information about Ceramic Pro, click here

McLaren 650S Paint Correction, Detail, Window Tint, Ceramic Pro Installation

There's a common misconception about the color white. Many think that it can't shine or have the gloss like a darker colored car. Some people even think that it doesn't scratch like for instance a black car would. This isn't true. White, when detailed properly, obtains such reflective, brilliant, blindingly-bright properties (when in the sun) it is sometimes almost as rewarding as when we finish a black vehicle.

This 2015 McLaren 650S came in with some minor paint imperfections, but overall had a very dull and non-lustrous finish.

We proceeded to complete a thorough hand-wash, including using Wheel Brushes by SM Arnold to remove brake dust and dirt from daily driving. We pulled her into our detailing bay and examined the paint a little further.

There weren't a whole lot of defects, but we did a few test spots to see what combination worked best for this paint system. We decided to perform our Deluxe Stage II Paint Correction which rendered the finish nearly perfect.

Upon completion of the paint correction process, we applied 20% window tint all around to give the 650S appearance more contrast.

Ceramic Pro Sport was applied to the exterior surfaces to protect the paint for up to 10 months from environmental variables such as bird droppings, sap, water spots, UV rays, bugs, and tar. We started off the process when the car was dropped off to our shop courtesy of our client. We cleaned the exterior, wheels and calipers via hot high pressure steam. We removed all paint protection film from the front of the car which was original from 2007, all vinyl and decals to ensure the paint surface was bare for the next step: paint correction.

Our Concours finish paint correction was performed next. This consisted of spot-wet-sanding deep scratches followed by multiple compounding, polishing, and jeweling steps to ensure maximum defect removal and the ultimate shine. Upon reaching the final stages, it was particularly important to stress the delicate fashion in which way we wiped off the polish, as well as the type of microfiber towel used to prevent any towel-scratching or marring to Porsche's notoriously soft paint. We also 3 stage paint corrected the door jambs to remove imperfections.

Upon completion, we installed 3 layers of Ceramic Pro 9H, and 1 layer of Light to all exterior painted surfaces. We also coated the HRE wheels with Ceramic Pro Wheel & Caliper.

Hauled in an enclosed trailer to Las Vegas Nevada, heads turned and cameras came out as the world-record Porsche was started and pulled into the Flex Tools booth inside the convention center for the world to see. We wanted to prove that a race car can be a show car. Our client's EVT1700 Porsche 997 built by Evolution Motorsports did just that. Sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the video showcasing this beautiful transformation.

Shout-out to Ceramic Pro for the sponsorship of product for this event. Also a thank you to Bob and Andreas of Flex Tools for having the car in the Flex booth all week long! You guys Rock!
