We made the Angry Pumpkin a little less angry

This may look like an ordinary 2007 Porsche GT3, but any Porsche nut will know this isn't your average GT3. This is the Stuttgart Performance GT3, otherwise known as the "Angry Pumpkin" all over the web. We found out exactly why it was angry. Read on to find out why.

Porsche paint is known to have exceptionally soft clear-coat, which is a double edged sword. On one side, scratches are easily put into it, but on the other, it doesn't take much work on our end to get many of them out with just one step.

That is exactly what this GT3 received; our Stage 1 Deluxe Exterior Package. The car had about 70% of all minor surface imperfections removed with just a single correction step. Usually we see anywhere from 50-60% removed, but we know that every car is different; and since this is a Porsche we're talking about, it's not a surprise that the finished product yielded a greater than typical result.

SuperLite in need of some super attention to detail

Many car enthusiasts are familiar with exotics and super exotics; however, we've found out that even the most enthusiastic car lovers rub their chins in curiosity as to what make and model of car this unique breed of super exotics is that we've had the extremely rare opportunity to restore back to life.

SuperLite Coupe

SuperLite Coupe

The SL-C, otherwise known as the SuperLite Coupe, is a super exotic kit car that can be purchased by the buyer and built to spec. This one has a V8 Corvette LS7 engine pushing 632rwhp and 570 ft/lb's of torque. That makes for a fast ride considering the "super light" (pun intended) weighs in at just 2,100lbs. With a full carbon fiber interior accented by suede and 700 horsepower behind your head, this street car is easily ready for the racetrack.

Carbon fiber much?

Carbon fiber much?

On to where we came in; we always love sharing our work with you, from cars that have been abused by the sun, the environment, and unfortunately sometimes their owners who know no better. On occasion, we run into a car that was given to the hands of a person who claims to be a detailer yet knows nothing other than sabotage. This is exactly the case we had to deal with. Unfortunately, it was to a super exotic that costs upwards of $225,000 USD.

Swirls, holograms, and spider webbing caused by improper wash techniques and an individual who should not be allowed to hold a polisher

The gel-coat was beat. Swirls, holograms, and spider webbing were draped all over every square inch of the exterior. With just one correction step, we were able to gain vantage of the deep shine that laid underneath. Removing about 90% of surface imperfections, this car definitely deems the award for best results from a single stage paint correction!

Along with the obvious paint restoration, we gave the interior a vacuum and wipe-down along with cleaning the windows. The engine bay also was in need of dire attention, so we took lead to steam, wipe, and dress all areas of the LS7 motor along with the exposed suspension.

This SL-C turned heads before, and now it is drop-jaw gorgeous.

Lamborghini Murciélago Paint Correction: The Bull Runs Free Again

Lamborghini is known for their state of the art design, ingenuity, and luxury mixed with brute-force horsepower. Handcrafted and made in Italy, these Italian masterpieces are sure to put your head in the seat while everyone around you is picking their jaws off the ground.

We had the privilege to work on this fine piece of art. The 2006 Lamborghini Murciélago LP-640 has a 6.2-liter, V12 engine that fills the engine bay. Making 580 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, Lamborghini gave their buyers the option of a six-speed manual transmission or "e-gear", a paddle-shift sequential gearbox. The Murciélago goes 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 205mph. Oh yeah, and it has a full-time all-wheel-drive system.

Along with the many landmarks Lamborghini achieves, they're known for their exceptional paint quality. We were surprised how flawed the finish had become from 6 years of abuse. The picture below shows the harsh scratches on the rear portion of the hood.

We performed a Stage II Deluxe Package to this Lambo along with a steam cleaned engine detail. The Stage II Deluxe Package includes a thorough hand-wash, deep cleaning of wheels, calipers, tires, fender-wells, and finally dried with high quality chamois. We then proceeded to steam the engine so that no parts or sensors were damaged from high-pressure washers. Claybar of all exterior painted surfaces followed after this to remove all surface contaminants from the paint, leaving the clear-coat with a smooth, uncontaminated plain that was prepared to be leveled and polished out to remove the swirls, or "spider webbing" and minor surface scratches.

Next, we taped up all beveled edges and trim to ensure safety of the vehicle so that nothing would be scuffed or damaged from the polishers' pads making contact with areas of the vehicle that they should not.

After two stages of polish, tire dressing, and an applied paint sealer, we jumped on the interior where we steamed over the surfaces lightly and cleaned/conditioned all leather surfaces with a high-quality leather conditioner.

Needless to say, this Lamborghini popped! Black on black never looked so sharp. The reflection was as clear as looking into a mirror.
