After PPF installation on hood and roof scoop. PPF is an invisible shield that protects your vehicle’s finish for years.
Some vehicles are transportation.
Others carry decades of history every time they’re driven.
The 2022 Mustang Heritage Edition is one of those cars. It represents generations of American performance, unmistakable styling, and a legacy that has inspired enthusiasts for more than half a century. It’s the kind of vehicle you glance back at after parking—not because you have to, but because you genuinely enjoy seeing it.
When the owner brought this Heritage Edition into Detail Boss, the goal wasn’t simply to make it easier to clean. It was to preserve the excitement of owning a special car long after the new-car smell fades.
Instead of waiting for rock chips, fading paint, or Arizona’s relentless sun to slowly take their toll, we built a complete protection package designed to keep this Mustang looking every bit as special years from now as it does today.
That package included a Full Front Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation, lower door and rear splash protection, premium heat-blocking ceramic window tint, and a professional ceramic coating.
Because great cars deserve more than good intentions.
They deserve real protection.

The Road Doesn’t Care How Special Your Car Is
Whether it’s a limited-production Mustang, an exotic supercar, or your daily driver, the road treats every vehicle exactly the same.
Loose gravel ricochets off the bumper. Tiny stones pepper the hood. Sand carried across Arizona highways slowly erodes the finish. Bug acids, bird droppings, road tar, and harsh UV exposure begin wearing away at the paint from the very first drive.
Most owners don’t notice the damage immediately.
They notice it months later.
A handful of rock chips turns into dozens. The front bumper loses its flawless appearance. The leading edge of the hood begins showing scars that can’t simply be polished away.
By then, protecting the paint becomes repairing the paint.
That’s exactly why Paint Protection Film exists.
⸻
Building an Invisible Shield
For this Mustang, we installed Paint Protection Film across the areas that endure the most abuse every time the car leaves the garage.
The front bumper, full hood, front fenders, mirrors, and headlights received our Full Front PPF package. We also extended protection down the lower doors and rear splash areas—sections that are constantly blasted by debris thrown from the tires but are often overlooked until permanent damage has already occurred.
Every installation begins long before the film ever touches the vehicle.
The Mustang underwent an extensive hand wash followed by a thorough decontamination process to remove embedded contaminants, iron particles, road film, and anything else that could interfere with the installation. Once the paint was perfectly clean, every panel was inspected under specialized lighting to ensure the surface met our standards before moving forward.
We then digitally plotted each piece of Paint Protection Film using precision software developed specifically for the 2022 Mustang Heritage Edition. This gives us an incredibly accurate foundation while eliminating unnecessary cutting directly on the vehicle.
But software doesn’t install Paint Protection Film.
People do.
Every section is carefully positioned by hand, adjusted to maximize edge coverage, aligned with factory body lines, and refined until the film becomes virtually impossible to detect. The highest compliment we can receive is when someone can’t tell where the film begins or ends.
That’s when we know we’ve done our job.

Ceramic Window Tint: The Upgrade You’ll Appreciate Every Time You Drive
While Paint Protection Film protects what you see, ceramic window tint transforms what you feel.
Living in Arizona means accepting that your vehicle spends much of its life baking under an unforgiving desert sun. Interior temperatures soar, steering wheels become untouchable, and constant UV exposure slowly fades leather, plastics, stitching, and trim.
That’s why we installed premium heat-blocking ceramic window tint on this Heritage Edition.
Unlike traditional dyed films, ceramic window tint rejects a significant amount of infrared heat while blocking nearly all harmful ultraviolet rays—all without interfering with GPS, Bluetooth, cell service, or satellite radio.
The difference is immediate.
The cabin stays noticeably cooler.
Your air conditioning doesn’t have to work nearly as hard.
Long drives become more comfortable.
And the interior you’ve worked so hard to keep pristine remains protected year after year.
It’s one of those upgrades you stop noticing because it quietly improves every drive.
⸻
Ceramic Coating: The Perfect Finishing Touch
With the vehicle protected against physical damage, the final step was safeguarding it from everything else.
We applied a professional-grade ceramic coating to the painted surfaces, creating an extremely durable layer of protection against oxidation, UV exposure, bird droppings, bug residue, chemical contaminants, and Arizona’s relentless desert climate.
The coating also creates an incredibly hydrophobic surface that allows water, dust, and road grime to release far more easily during routine maintenance.
That means less time washing.
Less time drying.
Less chance of introducing swirl marks.
And more time enjoying the vehicle.
Paint Protection Film and ceramic coating aren’t competing products—they complement one another perfectly.
PPF protects against impact.
Ceramic coating protects against the environment.
Together, they create one of the most complete protection systems available for any performance vehicle.
⸻
Factory Paint Is Original Only Once
One of the most valuable parts of any enthusiast vehicle is something many people don’t think about until it’s gone.
Its original paint.
Once a panel has been repainted—even by an exceptional body shop—it can never truly be factory again. Texture changes. Paint thickness changes. The originality that collectors and enthusiasts value so highly begins to disappear.
That’s why so many owners choose to install Paint Protection Film before the damage happens instead of after.
Protecting factory paint is almost always less expensive than trying to recreate it.
More importantly, it preserves the authenticity of the vehicle for years to come.
⸻
The Best Part Isn’t the Product—It’s the Confidence
The most rewarding part of projects like this isn’t the flawless Paint Protection Film installation.
It isn’t the deep gloss created by the ceramic coating.
It isn’t even the noticeably cooler cabin after the ceramic tint is installed.
It’s handing the keys back knowing the owner can simply enjoy the car.
Take the weekend road trip.
Park it at Cars & Coffee.
Drive through construction without feeling your stomach drop every time you hear gravel hit the front bumper.
Wash it months later and smile because it still looks remarkably close to the day it left our shop.
That’s ultimately what we provide at Detail Boss.
Not just Paint Protection Film.
Not just ceramic coatings.
Not just window tint.
We provide confidence.
Confidence to drive your vehicle instead of constantly worrying about preserving it.
Because the memories you make behind the wheel should always outweigh the concerns about what the road might do to your paint.
