Many car enthusiasts are familiar with exotics and super exotics; however, we've found out that even the most enthusiastic car lovers rub their chins in curiosity as to what make and model of car this unique breed of super exotics is that we've had the extremely rare opportunity to restore back to life.
The SL-C, otherwise known as the SuperLite Coupe, is a super exotic kit car that can be purchased by the buyer and built to spec. This one has a V8 Corvette LS7 engine pushing 632rwhp and 570 ft/lb's of torque. That makes for a fast ride considering the "super light" (pun intended) weighs in at just 2,100lbs. With a full carbon fiber interior accented by suede and 700 horsepower behind your head, this street car is easily ready for the racetrack.
On to where we came in; we always love sharing our work with you, from cars that have been abused by the sun, the environment, and unfortunately sometimes their owners who know no better. On occasion, we run into a car that was given to the hands of a person who claims to be a detailer yet knows nothing other than sabotage. This is exactly the case we had to deal with. Unfortunately, it was to a super exotic that costs upwards of $225,000 USD.
The gel-coat was beat. Swirls, holograms, and spider webbing were draped all over every square inch of the exterior. With just one correction step, we were able to gain vantage of the deep shine that laid underneath. Removing about 90% of surface imperfections, this car definitely deems the award for best results from a single stage paint correction!
Along with the obvious paint restoration, we gave the interior a vacuum and wipe-down along with cleaning the windows. The engine bay also was in need of dire attention, so we took lead to steam, wipe, and dress all areas of the LS7 motor along with the exposed suspension.
This SL-C turned heads before, and now it is drop-jaw gorgeous.
