The difference in a Proper Interior Detail

A proper interior detail is necessary if you're looking for a disinfected or sanitized vehicle interior.  We achieve this through using various methods, one of which is the use of steam. Unlike conventional methods like "shampoo" which most detailing companies like to use, we use steam. The difference between using shampoo and steam is that  shampoo injects a lot of water and moisture deep into your vehicle's carpet and seat padding. This exposes the risk of your vehicle developing mold or bacteria if the moisture is not extracted properly. The method of shampooing also stirs the dirt/debris in carpets and does not always remove the particles from the surface, but rather imbedds them.

After: Majority of Stains removed using steam to lift dirt from surface, leaving mat virtually dry to the touch after minutes of cleaning

Steam, on the contrary, kills bacteria due to high temperatures while lifting dirt and stains by the use of heat transfer onto a towel/cloth.

The Verdict?

Both steam and shampooing are methods to clean interiors. Shampoo runs the risk of excess moisture in your vehicle which can cause mold/mildew and odor development. This method also does not disinfect the surfaces like steam does. Steaming leaves the interior much more dry, lifts dirt and leaves a fresh neutral scent throughout the vehicle.

Until next time, happy detailing!

Camaro Rewrapped in Avery Pearl White with Blue 3m Vinyl Accents

The beauty about automotive films and vinyls is that you can drastically change the look of your vehicle for a fraction of what it would cost to repaint it. Also, its removable! Take for example this beautiful ZL1 Camaro. It's black, with blue vinyl accents. Let's back up just a second first.

The owner wanted to surprise his wife for their wedding Anniversary while they were away. He arranged to have the car dropped off at our location in Scottsdale, Arizona, where we began to clean up the exterior in preparation for the full color-change.

We carefully removed door panels, rear view mirrors, door handles, hood and trunk emblems, rear spoiler, and rear bumper to ensure the most seamless install possible. This creates the illusion that the car is in-deed painted the color, but in actuality it is just vinyl overtop of the paint!

His wife was obviously stunned when she saw her camaro transformed. Upon completing the wrap install, we performed a very mild polish to the vinyl to remove any fine abrasions that were put in during the install. We then topped the vinyl with Ceramic Pro. This adds protection to the vinyl as well as possesses it with easy-cleaning and hydrophobic properties. For more about Ceramic Pro, click here!

Dodge Challenger stage 1 paint correction

Sometimes our clients are lucky when purchasing a new vehicle. This was the case for this beautiful leftover 2015 Dodge Challenger. It only needed a light polish to bring the paint up to a better than new condition. Our stage 1 paint correction typically removes 50-60% of all minor surface imperfections on a moderately scratched vehicle.

On vehicles that are in excellent condition to begin with, this package can remove up to 90%+. Upon completion, we applied our 2 month sealant which is included with every exterior detail to protect the paint against UV rays and provide a slick, ultra gloss finish. For all your detailing needs, be sure to schedule your auto detailing experience with Arizona's and Scottsdale's Premier Detailing company. Detail BOSS
